Happy Holidays!

It's Christmas Time! This is the first year in a very very long time that I have been super excited! Last year was great, but this year is going to be even better with Harper and Lake!

Harper will actually kinda get whats going on! We havebeen telling her about Santa, who she calls Claus hahaha.

I have actually enjoyed watching Christmas movies this year...Drew and I have been watching one every night. I think Santa Claus 2 is my favorite now. Tonight it is Charlie Brown's Christmas! YAY!

It is just so wonderful to have my own family! I never knew that I could love 3 people so much!

Happy Holidays!

Hey everyone! Okay, so apparently I can not keep up with my family blog as well as I thought I could, but I am totally going to work on it. I have so many pictures I want to post for everyone to see, but I need to figure out how to make an album...April, give me tips girl! :-)

What we have been up to: We went o Jasper to house sit the weekend before Thanksgiving and it was great, like a mini vacation for us! I know sad, but we do not get to do much hahaha! Babies are way cooler than getting out and about anyways!

For Thanksgiving we had my Blake, Brittany (my younger brother and sis) and my mom over. We has SO much food and it was super yummy!

Saturday we had some friends and their kiddos over for the game. Can I get a ROLL TIDE! We are rockin' it this year! Undefeated 12-0! GO BAMA! Of coarse Harper was our own personal cheerleader and I baked cookies with the little ones after the game.

Monday I was spouse to work but my mom, who watches Harper and Lake Mondays and Fridays basically stood me up. Since I was unable to work I am not getting paid for Thanksgiving and the day after that we were closed...Bollix! So yeah, my mom screwed me, sad to say but nothing new. We will just leave it at that she will no longer be watching our angels. Harper will now be in daycare full time and Lake 3days a week (my Aunt Billie, the most awesome lady in the world, will be watching him the other 2days until we can get him full time)

With the daycare stuff I did go look at like the only other one taking full time, Flatwoods Baptist and all I can say is that I was not impressed what so ever. Where they are now is amazing! They stick to a schedule, which I think is very important, have bible study, indoor and outdoor playgrounds and different areas for pretend play...they are also helping with potty training which is great because I cant give all of my attention to the training being at work all day.

Anyhoo we are excited about Christmas! We will be busy busy but cannot wait to see Harper's little face when she wakes up Christmas morning, Lake is still way too young to know what's going on.

We will be back and forth to Jasper around the holidays to be with our awesome family there. Then I think we are going to New Orleans to visit Jason, my older brother and his daughter on New Years and then all of us heading down to the beach for Christmas with my moms side of the family January 3rd. I love this time of year and being around fam!

Now I do not like the weight gain hahaha! Just a mini frustrating update...I lost almost 20lbs but that doesn't matter because I packed it all back on BOOOOOO! No worries, I am going to keep up my hard work. It is just hard after baby #2, baby #1 was easy hahaha!

Now for some pictures...

LOVE,

Ashley...and the Rowland fam!

Happy Halloween 2008

We had so much fun carrying them trick or treating around our neighborhood and my Aunts. Harper was a ghost and Lake was just a little pumpkin. Harper also had a fall festival at her "school" with a moon walk, games and trick or treating.

Harper apparently had a bit too much candy (She barley has any sugar usually) because she got sick about 2a.m. My poor little ghost...Don't worry, she is feeling much better today!

LOVE!

Harper update

From Parents.com----

"19 to 24 monthsYour child now understands as many as 200 words, though he'll probably use only 50 to 75 of them regularly. Many of these words will be nouns that designate objects in his daily life, such as "spoon" and "car." Between 18 and 20 months, his pace will pick up as he acquires ten or more new words each day. If he's especially focused on learning to talk, he can add a new word to his vocabulary every 90 minutes — so watch your language!During this phase your child may begin stringing two words together, making basic sentences such as "Carry me." Since his grammar skills are still undeveloped, you'll often hear odd constructions such as "Me go." He's understood for some time that he needs language, and he'll attempt to name new objects as he observes the world around him. He may overextend the words he already knows, though, so that all new animals are called "dogs," for example.Starting around his second birthday, your child will begin using three-word sentences and singing simple tunes. As his sense of self matures, he'll use "me" to refer to himself, and he's likely to tell you what he likes and doesn't, what he thinks, and what he feels. You may hear him say, "David want juice" or "Baby throw," for instance. (Pronouns are tricky, so you may catch him avoiding them.)"

Well Harper is right on track. When we carried her to the Birmingham Zoo in May she was 16months old and calling every animal there a dog. It was so cute.

She has now come a long way. She is putting words together. She can say "roll tide roll!" among other things. What I am working on right now is this thing she does, when she wants something she just goes "unhhh unhh" and expects for us to find it and get it for her. I am explaining to her that she needs to use her words and I will say what she needs to say. It seems to be working well.

We did run into a problem with her biting, even to the extent that I had to go to her daycare when it happened to punish her. I had a stern talk to her and after daycare Drew sat her down and just talked to her like a little adult and well it worked! :-) She has had no problems since then. YAY! Oh we also started calling time out---time out/Auburn. So we say "You dont want to go to time out Auburn" Its too funny!

Lake is getting BIG! He is now 4months old. He has rolled all the way over and we have started him on baby cereal and homwmade baby food...he LOVES it! He is so funny! He has found his feet and started babbling and laughing lots...the sweetest little laugh ever! He also is sleeping very well at night. We have him on a scedule like we did Harper and he seems to be falling right into it...thank goodness! :-)

As far as Drew and I we are doing terrific. Just same ol same ol, working and at the house. We did hang curtians in our room and they look great , (I love that I get suped excited over the smallest things)! We are still planning on going to Mexico next year for a late honeymoon, after tax time...I am so excited to have something to look foward to and we so need it. We miss everyone so much! Come see us!

ROLL TIDE!

So our first game was a great game! I hope we can keep it up!

We have been trying to teach Harper..."What does the elephant say? ROLL TIDE!" We have been teaching this since birth. Well finally last night we were going through the animal sounds and out came "ROLL TIDE!" clear as day! I was sooooo tickled! We also try to get her to say "GO BAMA!" She will say "BAMA!".

ROLL TIDE AND LOVE!

Ashley, Drew, Harper and Lake

Baby Caylee Anthony

I am sure everyone has somewhat kept up with whats going on with this, you cannot help but to hear about this. Every morning when I get to work one of my co-workers gives me an update of what is going on with the case. Today apparently there is DNA evidence that Baby Caylee's dad was someone in her family, perhaps her uncle who is 25, her mom is 22, they are brother and sister. It gets more twisted.
I just pray that this little girl is alive, which investigator's do believe that she is dead. Just thinking about it makes me sick and want to cry. I do not understand how some people are so horrible. If her mother killed her I hope she gets the justice she deserves, death sentence perhaps? I can tell you this...if I ever saw Casey, the mother, I would not be able to contain myself.
Now I am not saying she is guilty but all fingers point to her and its sick!
Just had to vent! Have a good day and pray for this baby girl.

Crazy Day

Hola! So today started as a normal day...gat Lake and Harp ready for school and BB's, dropped them off and went to work. Great morning at work, it was my bosses bday and we had a small party and filled her office up, smack full, with balloons and I leased up some apartments because I just rock at my job...I also hear I am up for a good bonus soon (YEAH!). Well this afternoon a tenant came in and had the nerve to ask my "When is the baby due?"...granted I am sure he just wanted to start small talk because I have been preggers for 18 out of 24 months just about but it upset me. I was quick to put him in his place and let him know how RUDE that was! Guys, tip for you...NEVER say anything to a woman about pregnancy unless you know FORSURE they are still pregnant. And chicks NEVER say something to a guy if he is loosing his hair, this is what my baby doctor told me when I had to go for a check up from having my tubes tied today. Anyhoo, he really hurt my feeling. I have been trying to lose my remaining baby weight but I have found it to be hard after your 2nd baby, but I am working out 5 times a week on my lunch break (we have a gym and tanning at my office) and eating pretty healty (I am a total veggie freak!) but nothing seems to work?????? GRRRRR! Before pregnancy I was inbetween 115-120 and thought I was fat, now I am at 152 and ofcoarse I will keep everyone uodated with my results...Im shooting for 125! Wish my luck, or the perfect diet pill hahah! Much LOVE! - momma Rowland

Lake rolled!

So this morning I'm getting the kiddos ready for the day; Lake to BB's, Harper to "school" and me to work. I laid Lake on his back on the changing table and went to his closet to grab a onsie for him....to my suprise when I popped back out he had flipped to his side! YEAH LAKE! My big boy!
He now weighs 12lbs, 12 weeks old. Harper is 22lbs and 19months old. I think Lake is going to be a "big boy", maybe not as big as AK! :-)
We miss eveyone very much and hope to see you soon!

ROLL TIDE!!!! Only 2more days!

Shots and all!

Well first off I cannot believe that Lake is already 3months old (I look like I JUST had him haha)! HE had his 3 month shots last Friday and he did very well. I think it is always harder for me to watch. Harper had her check up and 18month shot, even though she is 19months, on Monday. Poor thing, she already has a small cold. :-(

We are all doing great! Drew and I have been married for 1 year on September the 14th! I am so excited...I can't beleive that it has already been a year!

Lake is in the cooing and ahhing stage, trying to talk to us! He has found his hands and smiles all the time. He is sleeping well also...we just got lucky! hahaha!

Harper is nostop! I love it! It is so wonderful because everyday she is saying or doing someting new. She has all of her animals and body parts down!

Much Love!
